the hearth of ''Little Italy''
KEEPING TRADITION THROUGH THE GENERATIONS
In 2005, Mr. Ianniello passed his legacy to his son Robert Ianiello Jr. who has been working hard to protect the famous eatery. Robert Jr. says, ''My father started Umbertos in the early 70's and helped revitalize and reinvent Little Italy. Umbertos Clam House quickly became a haven for people to enjoy great food while absorbing provocative NYC atmosphere. I'm proud to carry on my family's tradition of flavorful innovative Italian style cooking with a modern flair.
